Direct Buy Membership Fees
When purchasing cabinets from Mei Kitchens, customers only pay the low price of our cabinets. We do not require any membership fees and offer all of our online tools free of charge. In comparison, Direct Buy requires customers to become members before purchasing anything through Direct Buy. Membership fees range from $4000 - $6000 and that money does not get customers any actual products. It just allows customers to buy products through Direct Buy. Handling Fee
Direct Buy charges a 5-15% handling fee. The handling fee is in addition to the membership fee, taxes and shipping. Mei Kitchens does not charge a handling fee. ‘Handling’ should be considered part of operations and should be included in the cost of the products being purchased.
Kitchen Cabinet Shipping Time
We keep our warehouse fully stocked so that when you purchase your cabinets, they can be shipped out within a few days. Mei Kitchens utilizes real time inventory to notify customers, prior to purchase, if we are running low on stock or are out of stock on particular items so that customers are fully aware of how long it will take to receive all cabinets and kitchen remodeling accessories. Direct Buy purchases most items upon order so they do not have items in inventory. This causes delivery of items to take usually between 4-6 weeks, if not longer. Mei Kitchens ships products to your home, or your desired location. Direct Buy only ships goods to your local Direct Buy center and customers are still responsible for paying those shipping fees, plus they must figure out how to transport huge items from the center to their home.
Taxes
Because Mei Kitchens is an online retailer, customers, who do not live in the state of Florida, do not pay any taxes. That is correct – No taxes! With Direct Buy, customers must pay taxes on all purchases and also must pay taxes on their huge membership fees.
