About Different Drawer Bottom Thicknesses for Kitchen Cabinets
Drawer bottom thicknesses often fall within the range of 1/4" to 1/8". A good thickness coupled with good drawer bottom material will provide a strong and durable drawer.
1/4" Drawer bottom thickness
This is the best thickness for cabinet drawer bottoms. With a 1/4" thickness, your drawer bottom will be sturdy and built to last.
3/16" Drawer bottom thickness
Although not as good as 1/4", drawer bottoms made with 3/16" thick wood are
still strong and considered optimal, especially if made with real wood.

1/8" Drawer bottom thickness
Drawer bottoms that are 1/8" thick or less are not optimal for cabinets if you want them to last. This thickness may be able to hold up well in a smaller drawer, but if you opt for large drawers, they will sag and wear out easily once exposed to some weight or pressure.
Try to avoid this low quality thickness.
