Matching Interiors for Kitchen Cabinets
Kitchen cabinets exteriors and interiors can either be finished to match, left natural, or painted. Our cabinets are finished to match the exterior and interior of the cabinets resulting in a high end, sophisticated look.
Matching Interiors for Cabinets
Our cabinets come standard with a matching interior. This provides a consistent look to your cabinets all the way through. This is particularly important when you have dark cabinets or when you have cabinets with glass doors. Taking a look inside presents a jarring color contrast if the colors are completely different.
Natural Finish Interiors for Cabinets
Many cabinets come with unfinished and unmatched interiors. With all wood cabinets, this isn’t too bad because you can still see the natural color and grain of the wood. If your cabinets are stained to a darker color, they may look slightly cheaper because when you open them, it is completely unfinished.
You can see in the image to the left that although the pictured cabinets are made with 3/4" plywood, they still look much cheaper than cabinets (as pictured above) with a matching interior.
Other Basic Options for Cabinet Interiors
There are a few other things you may see done with interiors as well. If it is a lower end particle board or an MDF type cabinet, you may see them painted white or another basic color. Some cabinet lines will have matching interiors available, but this is generally offered as an expensive upgrade which increases the overall cost between 10 and 20%.
