The Policies and Procedures of Mei Kitchens

Privacy Policy

We use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order only to complete that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive and to communicate your order. Your information is not shared with outside parties and will only be used by us to contact you.

Measurement & Design Policy

Designs provided by Mei Kitchens are based on measurements submitted by the customer. Customers are solely responsible for the accuracy of all measurements and information. We recommend that your installer measure and check your design before you order. Make sure your order is correct by checking and double-checking the measurements and order.

Mei Kitchens is not responsible for design errors based upon inaccurate measurements, inadequate information or customer errors and omissions. Any items requiring return or exchange will be handled according to Mei Kitchens Return Policy, subject to restocking fees and all shipping and handling will be at the customer’s expense.

Mei Kitchens recommends customers to provide photographs of their existing kitchen to help with the design process.

Shipping Time Policy

All orders generally ships within 15 business days after purchase. It takes additional 2-6 days to arrive depending on shipping destination. Delays may occur due to a high volume of orders and customers are encouraged to contact Mei's customer service to verify shipping dates prior to placing orders.

Average delivery time varies from four to eight business days. Actual delivery time may change or be extended as the result of order processing issues, order changes, shipping location scheduling or multiple project kitchen orders. Customers are encouraged to contact Mei's customer service to verify shipping dates prior to placing orders.

Receiving / Shortages / Damages

  • The customer must receive, inspect and sign for all deliveries.
  • Items should be checked against the delivery receipt or bill of lading supplied by the driver for each delivery. The delivery receipt or bill of lading indicates the number of cartons in the delivery. It does not represent the number of individual items, as some items may be boxed together such as molding, hardware, etc.
  • All visible shortages and/or damages at the time of delivery must be IMMEDIATELY reported to the carrier in writing on the delivery receipt or bill of lading BEFORE ACCEPTING THE ORDER and IMMEDIATELY reported to Mei Kitchens in writing via email to service@meikitchens.com or fax - 954-977-0365. No claims will be allowed without the proper paperwork signed by the customer and the transportation company.
  • The freight carrier acknowledges the receipt of shipments from our facilities IN FULL and GOOD CONDITION. Shipments are fully insured by the freight company and Mei Kitchens will not be liable for any freight shortages and/or damages. Your acceptance of the shipment from the carrier on the delivery receipt or bill of lading acknowledges that your order has been delivered IN FULL and in GOOD CONDITION. The shipping carrier will not be responsible for loss and/or damage if you give the carrier a clean and clear delivery receipt or bill of lading.
  • Replacement of items lost and/or damaged by the freight carrier and reported on the delivery receipt or bill of lading will be charged to the customer at the original purchase price. The customer will be responsible for ALL SHIPPING charges and will be able to claim for damages from the transportation company. Replacement items lost and/or damaged by the freight carrier and reported on the delivery receipt or bill of lading will be shipped COLLECT.
  • Concealed shortage and/or concealed damage claims must be made within TWENTY-FOUR (24) HOURS OF PRODUCT DELIVERY. Concealed shortage and/or concealed damage claims must be made in writing via email to service@meikitchens.com or fax - 954-977-0365. Mei Kitchens will issue a concealed shortage and/or concealed damage claim form via email or fax. Claims for concealed shortage and/or concealed damage will not be accepted without the proper paperwork signed by the customer. Mei Kitchens will be liable for only factory defects and may require return of the product for inspection or other documentation such as photographs to support claim.
  • Replacement of lost and/or damaged items will be made as soon as possible based on product availability. Mei Kitchens cannot guarantee supply times for damaged or lost items. Mei Kitchens will not be responsible for any project delays caused by loss and/damages.

Freight Delivery Policy

  • Deliveries will be made to the home or job site of the purchaser via the most efficient national carrier.
  • All shipments are valid for one customer, to one location.
  • All shipments will be palletized and shrink-wrapped or floor loaded and hand stacked.
  • Shipping and handling charges cover one delivery attempt to customer. In the event that due to customer availability or other customer circumstance, an order is not deliverable, the customer will be responsible for additional shipping and handling.
  • Standard deliveries are tailgate delivery only. For this type of delivery, drivers are only required to bring product to the tailgate (end) of the vehicle. It is the customer's responsibility to remove product from truck.
  • Other delivery options are available at an additional charge and customer will be responsible for any such charges including but not limited to: appointment scheduling, non-tailgate delivery, lift-gate service, inside delivery, etc. Charges will be applied before delivery on sales order. Return Policy

Requests for returns should be emailed to service@meikitchens.com within 24 hours of receipt of order and a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) will be issued. No returns will be accepted without an RGA. Returns of assembled cabinets are not accepted. Items must be in original packaging for return shipping. There is a 15% restocking fee for all returned products. The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs as well as any damage to product.

Once an item has been received, inspected and found in good condition, a check will be issued to the customer, less the above costs, at the original billing address. Refunds will not include shipping and handling fees from the original order.

Order Change and Cancellation Policy

Orders processing begins immediately upon receipt. We cannot accept order changes or cancellations. It is extremely important that you ensure your order is correct before placing it.

Order Acceptance Policy

All orders are subject to acceptance by Mei Kitchens upon review of the order. Mei Kitchens reserves the right to cancel any order, without penalty, until such approval is given by Mei Kitchens.
