The Policies and Procedures of Mei Kitchens

Privacy Policy

We use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order only to complete that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive, and to communicate your order status. Your information is not shared with outside parties and will only be used by us to contact you.

Measurement & Design Policy

Designs provided by Mei Kitchens are based on measurements submitted by the customer. Customers are solely responsible for the accuracy of all measurements and information. We recommend that your installer measure and check your design before you order. Make sure your order is correct by checking and double-checking the measurements and the order.

Mei Kitchens is not responsible for design errors based upon inaccurate measurements, inadequate information or customer errors and omissions.

Any items requiring return or exchange will be handled according to Mei Kitchens Return Policy, subject to a 15% processing fee, and all shipping and handling fees will be at the customer’s expense.

Mei Kitchens recommends customers to provide photographs of their existing kitchen to help with the design process.

Shipping Time Policy

All orders generally ships within 15 business days after purchase. It takes an additional 2-8 days to arrive depending on shipping destination. Delays may occur due to a high volume of orders and customers are encouraged to contact Mei Kitchens' customer service to verify shipping dates prior to placing orders.

Average delivery time varies from two to eight business days. Actual delivery time may change or be extended as the result of order processing issues, order changes, shipping location scheduling or multiple project kitchen orders. Customers are encouraged to contact Mei Kitchens' customer service to verify shipping dates prior to placing orders.

Receiving Procedure

*Keep a camera handy at the time of delivery for any necessary documentation*

  1. 1. Order Acceptance

    • The customer must receive, inspect and sign for all deliveries.
    • The number of packages received needs to be checked against the proof of delivery or bill of lading supplied by the driver. These documents reflect the number of packages/cartons/pallets, etc. being delivered, not the itemized list of products purchased.
  2. 2. Visible Package Damages

    • All visible package damages at the time of delivery must follow the procedure outlined below:
      1. With the driver present, take pictures of any visually damaged package(s).
      2. With the driver present, have the driver open the package(s) so you can document any damage to materials contained within. Photographs must be taken in order for Mei Kitchens to process a claim.
      3. If there is no damage to the contents, no further action is necessary.
      4. If there is damage to the contents:
        1. IMMEDIATELY report all damages to the carrier in writing on the proof of delivery or bill of lading and refuse that particular box.
        2. Within 24 hrs, all visible package damages must be reported to Mei Kitchens in writing via the submission of a service ticket.
        3. *Please refer to service ticket submission procedure.
      5. No claims will be accepted without the proper paperwork signed by the customer and the transportation company.
      6. Replacement of damaged items will be made as soon as possible based on product availability. Mei Kitchens cannot guarantee supply times for damaged items. Mei Kitchens will not be responsible for any project delays caused by damages.
  3. 3. Concealed Package Damages

    • All concealed package damages at must follow the procedure outlined below:
      1. Within 30 days of receipt of order, all concealed package damages must be reported to Mei Kitchens in writing via the submission of a service ticket. *Please refer to service ticket submission procedure.
      2. No claims will be accepted without a service ticket submission accompanied by photographs.
      3. Mei Kitchens will ONLY be liable for factory defects, per product warranty, and may require return of the product for inspection.
      4. Replacement of damaged items will be made as soon as possible based on product availability. Mei Kitchens cannot guarantee supply times for damaged items. Mei Kitchens will not be responsible for any project delays caused by damages.
  4. 4. Shortages

    • All shipment shortages must follow the procedure outlined below:
      1. For shortages identified at the time of delivery, please note that the freight carrier acknowledges the receipt of shipments from our facilities IN FULL and GOOD CONDITION. Shipments are fully insured by the freight company and Mei Kitchens will not be liable for any freight shortages and/or damages.
      2. Your acceptance of the shipment from the carrier on the delivery receipt or bill of lading acknowledges that your order has been delivered IN FULL and in GOOD CONDITION.
      3. Check order against bill of lading. The number of packages received needs to be checked against the proof of delivery or bill of lading supplied by the driver. These documents reflect the number of packages/cartons/pallets, etc. being delivered, not the itemized list of products purchased.

Return Policy

  • All returns must follow the procedure outlined below:
    1. Requests for returns should be reported to Mei Kitchens in writing via the submission of a service ticket. *Please refer to service ticket submission procedure.
    2. No returns will be accepted unless a claims specialist has provided a Return Goods Authorization (RGA).
    3. Cabinets will only be accepted in good condition AND original packaging.
    4. Assembled and/or disassembled cabinets are not accepted for returns.
    5. All returned items are subject to a 15% processing fee.
    6. Once an item has been received by Mei Kitchens, inspected, and found in good condition, a refund will be issued to the customer, less the above costs, to the original card holder’s account.
    7. Refunds will not include shipping and handling fees from the original order.
    8. The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs as well as any damage to our product.

Service Ticket Submission

  • All service ticket submissions must follow the procedure outlined below:
    1. Go to www.meikitchens.com.
    2. Log into your account via the link located on the top right hand side of the home page.
    3. Sign in with your email and password.
      • Contact customer service at 1-866-544-7844 if you have forgotten your password
    4. Access the project that contains the order related to your claims submission.
    5. Click on the order which is located on the right.
    6. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on “SERVICE FORM” located at the bottom right.
    7. Choose the appropriate items from the drop down menu.
    8. Provide any details in the comments box that you would like Mei Kitchens to be aware of. Be as specific as possible regarding the items, including the color, style, item number, type of damage, etc…
    9. Upload documentation pertaining to your submission. Ie. Shipping documents, photographs, etc…
    10. Click the submit button located at the bottom of the page.
    11. The next screen provides you with a service ticket authorization number and confirms your transaction.

Order Change and Cancellation Policy

Orders processing begins immediately upon receipt. We cannot accept order changes or cancellations. It is extremely important that you ensure your order is correct before placing it.

Order Acceptance Policy

All orders are subject to acceptance by Mei Kitchens upon review of the order. Mei Kitchens reserves the right to cancel any order, without penalty, until such approval is given by Mei Kitchens.
