Determine the Quality of Faucets
In order to determine the quality of a kitchen faucet, there are some important factors to consider. Please read below to learn about the differences in quality.
1. The materials used to make a faucet are extremely important. The highest quality faucets are made from brass. Lower quality products are made using recycled mixed copper, alloy material and engineering plastics.
2. The valve core is a key component of a water faucet. Our faucet is made using dioxide aluminum, and its hardness is inferior only to a diamond. Our valve core guarantees no water leakage for five years. Most low-grade products use bronze, seals and rubber. Products made from these materials offer a much shorter life span.
How to distinguish quality:
- Test the feeling of the handles. High quality handles feels and moves around smoothly at all angles.
- A good quality faucet will have no dripping. Open and close the handle several times to observe if there is any leakage.
3. Nickel plating is used for the surface of our faucets and the gloss is even. High quality faucets do not have any blistering while low quality products will produce blisters and bubbles due to bad coating. Blistering can reduce the service life of water faucet greatly.
How to distinguish quality:
You can determine the quality of the galvanization process (coating process) by looking at what happens when there is moisture on the faucet. When a high quality process is used, the moisture will disappear rapidly and evenly on the surface. If the product went through a poor quality process, the moisture will disappear slowly. The quicker and more even the moisture disappears, the better quality of the coating process.
