The kitchen's story:
The Cohasset Community Bldg is a gathering place in a small community in the foothills of N. CA. It was a WWII era hall brought from Chico, CA in the 1970’s. It is used for emergencies; snow storms, fires when the roads are closed and electricity is out, for community gatherings, Historical Society, 4H and commodities distribution. The non-profit assoc. has been able to make few improvements to the building over the years. The kitchen is ugly and not very functional. The stove can only be used for warming as there is no exhaust fan. A new kitchen would allow the community to do so much more.

Without a doubt, this kitchen is ugly. Cabinet space is limited and not readily accessable. Lighting is limited to one small window and a ceiling fixture.

This kitchen has no redeeming features. It truly is downright ugly as well as depressing!

When this kitchen gets remodeled the community will want to spend more time in the building! Let's start with the kitchen and keep going.

For the use of over 100 members of the community, this kitchen is as good as roughing it OUTSIDE. The few old appliances are energy-wasters if/when they work - it's amazing they haven't shorted out & started a fire several times over

Time to take the chainsaws to the ugliest kitchen I have ever seen. Slice that sucker off and take it out in the back yard and burn it.

It is hard to even qualify it as a kitchen. It is an old storage space with really old appliances and deteriorating floor and surfaces to boot!
